8-12 x 400s: 5K pace. Numbers 3, 7, and 11 will be at a bit of a faster pace (close to 3K pace). This workout will help you get more of a sense of how you will feel in the 5K-8K race distance and pushing through that discomfort and will also help work your glycolitic system (helps you become more tolerant to muscle acidosis).
